PROVIDING A HOME FOR ORPHANS

IN NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA

A MINISTRY OF MISSIONARIES JIM AND JAN AMMONS (EMI)

....SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO COME UNTO ME, AND FORBID THEM NOT: FOR OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD. MARK: 10:14b

JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN...

OUR CALLING

Our calling comes from the Lord. The Lord has blessed the ministry of missionaries Jim & Jan Ammons serving in West Africa for 28 years. In Ghana a Bible College was established, Three churches planted in Ivory Coast and the past 18 years in Nigeria there has been Eight churches planted and Blue Mountain Bible College in Ogbomoso, Oyo State and The Living Word Baptist Bible College in Lagos, Lagos State Nigeria. Also the Ammons established a Christian School in the village of Abikehin to provide a elementary education for children who would other wise not be able to have an education. Bethel Baptist Christian School has been combined with Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home to provide Christian education for the orphans also. Today over 70 children attend the school. All school material, books, uniforms, a hot breakfast, teachers salaries, etc. are provided by Faith donations.

The Lord has given Jim and Jan Ammons a great burden for the 7 million plus Orphans in Nigeria who need care and access to basic necessities of life. We have a Biblical mandate to reach out to these suffering children. David said in Ps. 10:14c of the Lord, "Thou are the helper of the Fatherless." James 1:27 says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless, and widows in their afflictions, and to keep himself unspotted." Ps. 68:5 "A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation."

With over 50 Independent Baptist Churches in Nigeria we have many families and their extended families that are in need of a Children's Home to help with the growing number of orphans. Through Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home & Orphanage we can reach many more souls with the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ and rear these precious homeless children in a godly home.
